ESoDoc INTERNATIONAL - a new training initiative |  | 
ESoDoc International is a training initiative aimed to accompany filmmakers, new media professionals and NGO-collaborators in the creation of their factual audiovisual projects for the international market. Two public online-conferences and a residential workshop held by international experts to train African, Indian and European professionals to plan, create and distribute their documentaries and cross-media projects with a social impact. ESoDoc International is organized by ZeLIG-School for documentary, television and new media (Italy) in collaboration with Amref (Kenya/Italy) and Formedia (India) and financed by the European Union's Media Mundus Programme. |

Images from the second session of ESoDoc 2013
The second session of ESoDoc 2013 has just finished. It took place from May 13 till 19 in Nalles (Italy). Beside the frontal lectures, this session included a series of practical masterclasses in Crossmedia, Multiskilling Camera and Participatory Video. The second session has been realized in partnership with BLS - Business Location South Tyrol and the Autonomous Region Trentino Alto Adige.
Call for applicants for Uniondocs' 2013-2014 Collaborative Studio
The UnionDocs Collaborative Studio (CoLAB) is a 10 month program for a select group of media artists from the US and abroad. Deadline for non-resident is July 1, 2013!

The first sessionof ESoDoc 2013 took place from March 18 till 24 in The Netherlands. This was the first meeting of the 22 participants, who will then develop their documentary or new media project for two more sessions. The first session has been realized in partnership with the Nederlands Filmfond, Movies That Matter Film Festival, Stiching Democratie & Media and NBF (Dutch Association of Film and Television Professionals).

Submission open for Sheffield Doc/Fest's MeetMarket 2013
Submissions for MeetMarket 2013 are open until 20th March. MeetMarket is the pitching initiative at Sheffield Doc/Fest designed to match documentary and interactive media makers' most innovative project ideas with UK and international decision makers. MeetMarket 2013 will take place on June 13th and 14th.

Also this year there will be a delegation of ESoDoc at the 63rd International Filmfestival in Berlin. Heidi Gronauer and Hugh Purcell will be present from Saturday 9 till Wednesday 13.
